About the Choose Love Movement
Three million people across more than 120 countries have already decided to Choose Love.
Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement™ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to create safer and more loving communities through no cost Character Social Emotional Development programs (CSED) that are suited for all stages of life. We offer programs tailored for any age from toddlers through adulthood. At the core of it all is a simple formula (COURAGE + GRATITUDE + FORGIVENESS + COMPASSION-IN-ACTION = Choosing Love) that anyone can learn and practice to nourish and strengthen the body, mind, and emotions to cultivate happy, healthy, meaningful lives and to thoughtfully respond to all we meet and improve the world around us.
Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement™ is made possible by a global network of team members and advisors.
The origin of Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement™ is a powerful story about tragedy to transformation.
Nurturing. Healing. Love.
Jesse Lewis Choose Love Movement™ began as a no cost program for schools but has organically expanded into programs for home, for work, and for community. We’re seeing sports teams use Choose Love programs to teach leadership. We’re seeing prisons use it for restoration. Even military families are using it to ease anxiety and strengthen relationships.
Since 2013, we have been on a mission to create safer schools and a safer world by teaching people how to use nurturing, healing love in any circumstance. Practicing social and emotional learning skills improves culture and cultivates an environment that is welcoming, supportive, compassionate, and safe.
Core Values
“Nurturing, Healing, Love,” are the foundational values for the movement. Their individual meaning form a profound and powerful formula
for choosing love:
- Nurturing means loving kindness and gratitude.
- Healing means forgiveness.
- Love is compassion in action.
