New Digs Give Shelton-Based Peralta Design Room to Grow

Bridgeport, CT (January 27, 2017)—For more than 8 years, Peralta Design’s mission has been to help others start and launch their own businesses. With its new location in suite 418 at 2 Enterprise Drive in Shelton, owner and founder Ramon Peralta hopes his own business will continue to grow.

In 2008, after years of working for Walker Digital, Peralta found himself briefly without employment and took the opportunity to try something new.

“I spent 10 years starting companies,” Peralta said. “So I felt like it was time for me to start my own company. It’s been growing ever since 2008. I started out in my basement taking small jobs.”

Peralta then moved on to a location in downtown Shelton, where for six years he was actively involved in helping individuals start their own business. Peralta said when someone brings the company an idea, a non-disclosure agreement is signed to protect that client’s rights.

From there, Peralta said they will figure out how to monetize the idea, who the audience is, who the competitors could be and what technology they will use to launch it. But the most important part of test launching a business is to minimize the launch cost, Peralta said. Peralta Design will also create a logo and a color palette for its clients.

“We consider it a long-term relationship,” Peralta said.

Greater Valley Chamber of Commerce President Bill Purcell said he has been very impressed with Peralta Design’s growth.

“Ramon [Peralta] is an extraordinary entrepreneur with a creative mind and a big heart,” Purcell said. “I have observed with great interest and pride, the evolution of Ramon’s business. What started as a home-based business has grown to occupy a beautiful space in the heart of Shelton’s corporate community.”

And in comparison to the previous location, the new location — part of R.D. Scinto’s Enterprise Corporate Park, located just off Route 8 — has opened up the possibility for new clients. “There are a lot of other companies here that need our services,” Peralta said.

Beyond the convenient location, the new building allowed Peralta Design access to a large conference room in which to meet with clients. One of the reasons Peralta said the business outgrew the previous location was because of its lack of a proper conference room.

As a company, Peralta Design puts a large focus on branding for companies. Therefore, it is no surprise that the new location of Peralta Design proudly showcases its brand to potential clients with an emphasis on its signature red color. The new conference room — “Big Red” as the company has named it — is what Peralta referred to as the showpiece of its recent grand reopening event. “We pride ourselves in good branding,” Peralta said. “When people come here, they’re going to see a lot of red.” But beyond seeing the conference room, Peralta said he believes it’s important people meet the staff, as well. Currently, Peralta Design has six full-time employees, one part-time employee and two interns.

“We want people to meet the team,” Peralta said. “Everyone here has been with us for at least five years so it’s good for clients to connect faces and names and see that we are in it for the long haul, that we’re people in your community here to help.”
