Talalay Global was founded over 45 years ago and is the largest producer of Talalay latex in the world and the only manufacturer in North America. Our Talalay is used in millions of the finest mattresses, pillows and toppers around the globe.

1930s

The Talalay process was the invention of the late Dr. Joseph A. Talalay at the Moulded Hair Company in Bedford England in the late 1930s.

1940s

The success of Mr. Talalay’s invention took place in the United States in 1947 when he licensed Sponge Rubber Products in Shelton, Connecticut and The Dayton Rubber Company of Waynesville, North Carolina.

1950s

The B.F. Goodrich Company purchased the assets of The Sponge Rubber Company which made it the largest foam rubber company in the world.

1970-2001

Evolving with the times, a new company emerged under the name Latex Foam Products, Inc and a manufacturing plant opened in California to service its expanding West Coast customers.

2002-2019

Rebranding and educating the consumer of Talalay Latex led to the name change from Latex Foam Products, Inc. to Talalay Global.

2020

Talalay Global was acquired by the multinational, interior textile group, Love Home Fabrics, with headquarters in Belgium, India, China and here in North America.  Talalay Global is proud to be the only manufacturer of Talalay Latex in North America with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Shelton, Connecticut and Glendale, Arizona.
