Paid among the best in Connecticut — and resourced to match.
Salary and benefits are the largest line in our budget — $9.4 million of $25 million. That is a deliberate choice: the adults in the classroom are the program.
Career pathways
Most teachers hit a ceiling. Here the path is already built.
You do not need a degree in hand to begin. Aides have become Assistant Teachers, Assistant Teachers have become Head Teachers, and Head Teachers have grown into Education, Health, and Family Support Coordinators and Site Directors — without ever leaving the mission they love.
We pay for the credentials that get you there, including annual re-certification fees, and every step below is a real position someone on our team holds today.

Meet our team
Nicole came in as a parent. She stayed as a colleague.
Nicole Kelly enrolled her son William at ten months old so she could keep studying. Three years later William is a curious preschooler, Nicole has an associate's degree in early childhood education from Post University, and she is working toward a bachelor's while teaching in an infant and toddler classroom.
She began as a substitute, moved into a Teacher Aide role, and is now a credentialed Assistant Teacher. That progression was not luck. It is the pathway, working as designed.
For Nicole and William, this was never just a program. It was a foundation — William's growth, and her own.

Early Childhood roles are based at our Ansonia and Waterbury locations. Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus in every position. TEAM serves twelve towns across the Naugatuck Valley and greater Waterbury.
