Building Our Future Together
Dear Hampton Family & Friends,
Reflecting on the 2024-2025 academic year, I am deeply moved by the incredible
work and shared vision of the Hampton University family. Our theme for this year’s
Annual Impact & Philanthropy Report, “A Foundation of Excellence,” is a tribute
to the collective spirit that has defined us, allowing us to build a strong base for
the future. From our students and faculty to our dedicated alumni and staff, every
member of this community has contributed to a year of remarkable progress.
This past year demonstrated the profound impact of our united efforts. Hampton
University proudly generated nearly $43 million in revenue, a testament to the
powerful loyalty and trust our community places in our mission. This financial
strength is a direct result of the collective commitment to our strategic plan,
which guides our investments in advanced technology, innovative research, and a
premier student experience.
I want to take this moment to salute the Board of Trustees, whose stewardship
this year has been nothing short of transformative. By leveraging your gifts and
influence to contribute over $1.375 million—surpassing last year’s $775,000—
you have redefined the standard for support. Let it be known that our elevation to
R2 status is a direct result of your vision and dedication.
This momentum sets the stage for our upcoming Capital Campaign, a historic
endeavor that will secure our future and elevate Hampton to new heights. We
will build upon this foundation to create a campus that inspires, programs that
innovate, and a legacy that endures. The campaign is our opportunity to translate
our shared accomplishments into transformative change.
I extend my heartfelt thanks for your invaluable contributions this past year. Your
generosity and dedication are the bedrock of our progress. As we look ahead, let
us continue to work together with hope and determination. I have no doubt that
with your continued partnership, we will realize our most ambitious goals and
ensure that Hampton’s legacy of excellence shines brighter than ever before.
